Giraffe ATC

I am currently hosting the ATC on Drawspace

I have chosen the Giraffe theme - mainly because they are like my favorite animal and I used to collect them in any form, from toys to key rings to whatever may have a giraffe on it.
(I'm not crazy or physo or anything.... LOL)

The closing date to join in on the trade is today - so please feel free to join in.

Closing date for the trade is the 30th December - I will be posting all my cards here and on the DS website.

Bella

This is my other baby - BELLA

She's turning 4 this year - she's a cross Cocker Spaniel and Pekinese
Most gorgeous doggie with such a loving personality.

This is her, absolutely sopping wet from running in the sprinkler!!

She's got so much hair that she gets VERY HOT and either walks into her water bowl or runs through the sprinkler.

My little Peppee

So my sister has given me her bird - Pepper - I have officially adopted her, she is so gorgeous.
She has a temper on her like no other, but I think that's a combination of her species and that she's a female - LOL

I took this pic of her the other day - I love the colours in the back and that expression that she has, she's so cute!!

She lifts her head like that when she wants to be patted and tickled and she makes this almost clicking sound that lets you know she wants to be loved.

Troy & Claudia's Engagement

What a fantastic evening from the Decor to the Food to the people who came.

Troy & Claudia looked grand and smiled the whole evening non-stop!
My dad hired the tables and chairs and my mom & Claudia & Aunty Cathy (Troy's Mom) made the food.

The evening ended well when Claudia opened all her gifts - they were really spoilt with all the things they received.
It was a nice evening with just family and long time family friends - Their were 25 people in total.

Here are some snaps of the evening...

The Geese

Brandon has 4 geese on the plot, one male & 3 female.

Someone had told us that a male can only cover one female per season... BOY, was he wrong... all 3 females have had babies. (In total we had 18 little goslings running around and chirping away!)
They are absolutely gorgeous to sit and watch and to take photo's of.

We had a really terrible hail storm a couple of weeks back and it killed 3 babies (very sad day) we managed to catch one in time and I mommied it until it came right - it was honestly totally concussed!! It didn't come all together right because it has a bit of a side-ward walk... but it's ok and my favourite of the bunch!!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics of my little babies.... like I said, I could watch them all day!!
It's so sweet to watch them take their first swim in that water, so apprehensive... but afterwards they can't get enough. In the second picture they are enjoying some cabbage - Ah, creation is awe inspiring!!

Warm Baths

The family at Warm Baths in Bella Bella.
What a fantastic weekend, the sun was so hot and the water was beautiful.

We stayed in a gorgeous place where the buck and eland came and ate right at the door, we cycled, took long walks and just enjoyed nature.

The challets we stayed at had a heated pool where we spent all of our time.
Warm Baths resort was so nice, a bit over populated, but we still had a good time.

Can't wait to go back...

King of Queens

This is actually an old photo - but i really like it!!

Brandon and I were dressed up by my family on our one year anniversary!!

We had a fantastic evening as we got treated to prawns for dinner along with a whole lot of gifts and yummy food and we danced the night away!!

Birds, Birds, Birds

These are a few of the cards i did for the BIRDS ATC Tracde
This is an Emporer Pinguin
I was inspired by Pepper to draw this Parakeet
- this is a male however with the colouring or ring around it's neck.
And this one was the first one that i drew and i just really enjoyed it and the colours are incredible.
Red Chested Barbett

Port Elizabeth

I work for the South African Dental Association and had to attend their annual congress this year.

The congress was located at two venue's - the one being Port Elizabeth - I had never been there before and was able to get away from work for an hour or so and took these snap shots of the sea and view there.

There are so many shells and pebbles, it's really a pretty beach, and the waves are so calm (compared to Durban). Would love to go back some day and have a proper holiday there.

Tania's Latest Photo's

Here are some more of my latest photo's!
Some are taken at my own house - like the bark from the oak tree in our front garden and the other two of from Brandon's house/plot.

Hope you like em :)

PePPeR

My sister found this oh-so-cute parakeet, who we have recently named Pepper!!

Claudia named her pepper, because not only is she as green as a peppermint, but she is as firey and hot tempered as her beak and pepper itself!!

I love her to bits!!!

Here is a pic of her peaking at me from behind the camera - the 'stuff' on her cage is peanut butter - she LOVES that!!

We have allot of training to do, but she is really friendly to me (well most of the time anyway - apparently they only bite or attack if they are scared).

Here is another pic of me petting her - which she also adores and makes this 'squeak squeak squeak' noise as i'm doing it :) SOOOO CUTE MAN!!! She loves coming out the cage and infact we have to peg the doors closed because she is so clever that she knows how to open the doors of her cage - we don't want her to get out if we are not around because our doggies are not used to her yet and if anything happened her I would just die!!

CyCLiNg - A NeW AdVeNtUrE!

Yesterday I bought myself a mountain bike - a really stunning bike if I do say so myself.
Brandon already cycles and has a racer (or a road bike) - so I have been wanting to get fit and healthy for a while and this was the perfect answer - plus him and I can spend time together....
Which we really did - we had such a fantastic time - I did 5km for my first time (tired as hell and my bum hates me!!!) but so worth it!!

I was so excited to ride the bike that i didn't remember to take pics yesterday - but we'll be cycling again tomorrow and i'll try and take few and put them up :)

Brandon is cycling the Soweto race this weekend and the 94.7 cycle challenge in November - he wants me to do it with him, but 95km is slightly more than just 5km - i have ALLOT of training to do - LOL!!
